Imposter syndrome is the condition of feeling anxious and not experiencing success internally, despite being high-performing in external, objective ways.
Here are some ways How to stop feeling like you're not good enough ;
1 Achievements journal - Imposter syndrome makes us question our abilties. Keeping a journal where you note down your wins really helps with this. Keep a screenshot album of the good messages that people send me and look back on those whenever self doubt is creeping in.
2 Hype yourself up - Find a way that works for you - affirmations, gratitude, high-fiving yourself in the mirror, giving yourself a pep talk - and do it every day. It might seem silly in the beginning but positive self talk slowly rewires your neural pathways & thereby changes your beliefs about yourself.
3 Learn to accept compliments - How do you react when someone compliments you? Do you brush it off, try to act modest, or simply refuse to accept it? Doing this repeatedly makes our brain believe that we're not worthy of compliments & eventually we stop believing them altogether. Work on accepting compliments and owning them.
4 Start volunteering your expertise - Whatever your skillset is start sharing it with people. You can teach, create content, take workshops - but the more you share it, the greater your confidence in it will grow. And the more your confidence in yourself will grow.
5 Remember 'failure doesn't make you a fraud' - This is one of my favourite phrases. Failure, if anything, is a means to learn and grow. Every famous chef, musician, artist has failed multiple times. Imagine if they let their failure hold them back from trying again because they thought they weren't good enough?
