Punjab has 13 Lok Sabha seats and 117 Assembly constituencies in the state. The names of constituencies in Punjab are Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Firozpur, Bathinda, Sangrur and Patiala.

In 2019 Elections, Punjab voted in a single phase, on May 19, the last day of the seven-phased national election. The results of the staggered polls were announced on May 23.

The Indian National Congress (INC) won 8 seats, and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) consisting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) combined got 4 seats, and 1 seat was won by the Aam Aadmi Party.

In 2024 Indian general election in Punjab will be held on 1 June 2024 to elect 13 members.
