India's compact SUV segment is gearing up for exciting additions with the impending launches of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and the Mahindra XUV300 facelift. The Urban Cruiser Taisor, trademarked in India, is anticipated to be positioned strategically above the Glanza hatchback and below the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Expected to compete with rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and others, the Taisor is likely a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, offering familiar features with minor updates.
On the other front, Mahindra & Mahindra is set to unveil the facelifted XUV300, spotted testing on public roads. Aligned with the XUV400 Pro range, the updated XUV300 boasts significant interior upgrades, including a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Adrenox, and more. Exterior enhancements encompass a redesigned grille, new LED headlamps, and connected LED tail lamps, maintaining its stature on the X100 platform. Both models are expected to be priced competitively, catering to the sub-Rs. 10 lakh segment.
