Phillip Lahm criticizes PSG
Former Germany and Bayern Munich legend Philip Lahm has come out with scathing criticism of Paris St Germain. The French club were knocked out of this year's Champions League by Bayern and have always underachieved in Europe. Lahm said," This exorbitantly expensive team resemble a luxury department store, displaying precious exhibits that everyone marvels, but no one can afford.Individuals at PSG do not know how to collectively score a goal & generally how to contribute."
He also called out Qatar who own PSG. "Qatar invests millions in PSG. Politically the strategy works but on the sporting level the team is a disappointment and the club remains a bland experience", he claimed.
The right-back who subsequently started playing in midfield also come out in support of Lionel Messi. "Messi showed some moments of his extra class in Munich. But his abilities are being deployed without reason, goal, direction. Messi was helpless and desperate," Lahm empathized.
