Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain last summer to join Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia for €90 million. The superstar signed a contract with Al Hilal is worth around €150 million per season. Unfortunately, the Brazilian got injured just five games into his Saudi adventure while playing for his national team.
While recovering from his ACL injury, Neymar returned to Brazil to watch a match of his former club Santos against Palmeiras. During the visit, Neymar reportedly shared with players and staff at Santos that he plans to leave Saudi Arabia and play in the Brazilian Serie A by the 2025 season, which starts in April 2025, just before his contract with Al Hilal ends.
This is not the first time Neymar has talked about returning to Brazil, but it's the first time he's given a timeline for his plans. Neymar showed promise in Saudi Arabia, with three assists and a goal in five games before his injury, which seems to have ended the 2023/24 season for him.
Having played 220 games for Santos between 2009 and 2013, Neymar scored 134 games for the Brazilian club that has since been relegated from the Brazilian Serie A and are looking to return to the top division next season. Will Neymar be able to recreate the magic once he returns to Brazil? Let me know your thoughts...
