Wery beutiful 🥰
So interesting!!
👌👌
Enchanted by a supernal nymph,
I was pulled into a tryst;
Gasping to survive a fortuitous dalliance,
I laid down my life;
Bequeathing the midnight serenade......

Note: Gogyohka is a form of a short poem that is based on the ancient Japanese Tanka and Kodai kayo. It is simply a verse of five lines.
Each line of Gogyohka consists of one phrase with a line-break after each phrase or breath.
It however has no restraint on numbers of words or syllables but ideally, a phrase should range from one to five words.
No special seasonal or cutting words. No subject matter constraints. Just five lines of poetic phrases!
PS: An honest attempt at an ancient Japanese poetry style, hope I did some justice to it. Would love to see your reactions in the notes section.
Lost in the midnight blues✨ 💫
