On an eternal quest of rendezvous with fidus achates,
My stars espied an ether, suffused with delusive attainment,
Engulfed in the wreathing of life, I befriended myself for lasting peace...

POETRY STYLE: SIJO
Theme: Friendship
Sijo is a traditional Korean style of poetry written in three lines that are believed to have first appeared in fourteenth-century Korea, during the Goryeo period. By the time the Goryeo gave way to the Joseon dynasty, sijo became the favoured type of poetry, especially among the upper-classes.
Sijo poems follow a structure having three lines in total, each with about 14–16 syllables. The rhythm and lilt of each line are determined by its grouping pattern; poets can and do take liberties with how these groups are formed, but the total syllable count for the line remains the same.
Line 1 introduces the situation or theme of the poem.
Line 2 develops the theme with more detail or a "turn" in the argument.
Line 3 presents a "twist" and conclusion.
Note: Sijo are meant to be songs, so this form is more lyrical. Poems can be profound, humorous, metaphysical, and personal.
Here's bringing to y'all another poetic style more like the Japanese ones that I have attempted earlier with a little tweak. Hope you will like it ✨
