Chelsea & Liverpool: Next Two Games Could Break Man United's Champions League Hopes!
Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League table, nine points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. With a Champions League spot slowly slipping out of contention, the Red Devils would have to pull their socks up.
Coming fresh off a late 1-1 draw against Brentford, Erik Ten Hag's side will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, followed by a showdown against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday. These two games can determine United's Premier League fate as they desperately need to close the gap on the Spurs and Aston Villa.
However, United will be without the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Jonny Evans for the two games due to injury. Raphael Varane too may not be available after a recent concussion scare.
Owing to so many defensive injuries it has to be seen if Manchester United can sustain and put on a fighting display as a UEFA Champions League spot looks to be more distant with every passing game.
