Bayern Munich Release Statement After Tuchel's Comments to Coach in Spain Went Viral!
Bayern Munich head Thomas Tuchel coach recently spoke at a fan event where he commented about his feelings to coach in Spain. The German praised the Spanish league and claimed that he likes to manage the Spanish players and will consider working there.
With Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez announcing that he will quit the club at the end of the season, people connected the dots. Multiple reports came out stating that Tuchel had openly stated that he wanted to coach Barcelona though the German had not uttered such words.
The story became so viral that Bayern had to release a statement that read, "On Sunday, as part of a fan club visit, our head coach Thomas Tuchel was asked by the supporters about his coaching career and his previous experiences abroad at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC and of course he gave information about this in the conversation. He also answered general questions from fans about Spain as a football country. He never spoke about Xavi Hernandez and his successor, as was subsequently falsely claimed. We will no longer accept such unobjective statements directed against our coach."
Though a move to Spain has been squashed for now, it has to be seen if Bayern will retain Tuchel if the club fails to win the Bundesliga or the Champions League title this season.
