ATK Mohun Bagan win 1st first ISL title

India's most illustrious and historic football club Mohun Bagan added a new feather in their caps, lifting the 2022/23 ISL trophy. It was also ATK's first title since the merger. 

The final against Bengaluru FC was an exciting affair which was influenced by mistakes from both sides. There were three penalties in total, in a game reminiscent of the World Cup final, which happened 3 months ago on the same day. Dimitri Petratos found the net twice for ATKMB from the spot while Sunil Chhetri and Roy Krishna scored for BFC.

The Kolkata club were also inch perfect from the spot, netting each of their efforts while Vishal Kaith who is perhaps their player of the season,  saved one and saw another sail over the bar. The Green and Maroon faithful in the City of Joy will continue to celebrate into the night.
