Ancelotti admits Real Madrid have a Slight Advantage over Man City after Guardiola's Comments!
Pep Guardiola let out his frustrations recently about the tight schedule in April before Manchester City's UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie against Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti has now claimed that the schedule will certainly give a slight advantage to his side.
Talking to the media, Guardiola had said, "We play Aston Villa at 20:15 on Wednesday, then at 12:30 against Crystal Palace on Saturday - at 12:30! Then we go to Madrid on Tuesday. Madrid has nine days to prepare, nine days. They play this weekend and they won't do it again until our game. I would like to reflect and ask for one more day because the difference is a lot."
Ancelotti was asked about Gurdiola's comments after the 2-0 win over Athletic Club on Sunday and the Real Madrid manager said, "I see it well, they have a more complicated schedule, it is modern football. It is obvious that we have a small advantage, but it will not affect the match. I really liked the handling of today's match and a little less intensity."
Will Real Madrid make use of this nine-day rest period as they look to overcome the European Champions? Let me know your thoughts...
