The governement on Friday appointed 1988 batch IPS officer Tapan Deka as the new chief of domestic Intelligence Agency, Intelligence Bureau. He will have a tenure of two years. Incumbent Arvinda Kumar's extended tenure is ending on June 30.
But in the external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis, Samant Goel will continue to hold charge as chief for another year. He was already om extended tenure. Goel is a 1984 batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre.
