T20 World Cup 2024: Sunil Narine To Not Participate

West Indies spinner Sunil Narine has clarified that he will not be participating in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 that will happen in the United States of America and the West Indies.

There was a recent surge in speculations surrounding Narine's participation in the World Cup after his consistent all-round performance in the ongoing IPL. Windies T20 captain Rovman Powell admitted that he had been trying to persuade Narine to play the World Cup for about a year now.

Sunil Narine took to social media on Monday to announce that inspite of the constant support he's been receiving to make his comeback to international cricket, he'll not be participating in the upcoming World Cup. He added that he has made peace with the decision and will not be changing it.

Sunil Narine's addition would have been a huge advantage for the West Indies side, which is relatively young and inexperienced.
