Respectfully, defunding the police is an irresponsible solution. The rule of law and law enforcement are elemental staples in any civilized society. Police reform, training, education etc. is all great. If your recommendation is to moderately fund the police less and commit more funds to the community or training then fine. There are several bad eggs out there and bad culture within law enforcement that needs to be corrected but defunding law enforcement is not the answer.
