After a poor performance in Sunday's 4-2 FA Cup quarter-final victory against Leicester City at Stamford Bridge, Sterling was booed off the field by his own fans. Sterling has yet to fully convince fans of his qualities since his £47.5 million ($60.4m) transfer from Manchester City in 2022 but is determined to try and win them over. According to The Standard, Sterling is prepared to reject interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia this summer and remains focused on winning significant trophies with Chelsea.
On Sunday, Sterling apologized to Chelsea fans for his performance against Leicester: "Apologies for the penalty miss. I’ll be back 10 times stronger to help the team win and continue to fight for the badge every single day."
The former Manchester City winger's contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2027. He earns a reported salary of around £300,000 per week and Chelsea are likely to slap a lofty price tag on the winger should any offers arrive this summer, making a move away difficult.
