what is passive suicide?

Being passively suicidal is the desire to die without having a plan, and one won't physically act upon the ideation. Although one does not have a plan to act on the thoughts, people who experience this may approach daily activities without a care for their well-being and not worry about their own safety.

Some of the things you might hear from someone who is passively suicidal/some of their thouguts may include;

• "I hope someone crashes into my car".
•"I am going to cross the road without looking'
"I wish I was never born".
• "I am not going to wear a seatbelt today"

Just because someone does not have an intent to actively and immediately harm themselves doesn't mean that they should not be taken seriously. Being passively suicidal is not any less painful as someone who is actively suicidal. The pain, heartbreak and sense of hopelessness is not any less. Just because someone does not have plans does NOT mean they're not as risk. It is STILL SERIOUS. And should be treated that way.
