Palmer keeps giving Chelsea fan reasons to smile

Chelsea fans haven't had much joy over the last couple of seasons but Cole Palmer right now is giving them plenty of reasons.

The summer signing from Manchester City is in the midst of a quite extraordinary season and everything good about Chelsea flows through him at the moment.

The hattrick against Manchester United took him to 16 goals for the Premier League season. Only Erling Haaland has more. Although detractors have been calling out the number of penalties in that, Palmer's game is far more than that. He has supplied 8 assists and even against United, he created 8 chances on his own.

The 21 year old could easily have been lost in the mess at Chelsea but instead he has been carrying the team on his shoulders.
