It's just Oppenheimer at the 96th annual Academy Awards ceremony, and as predicted Christopher Nolan's blockbuster biopic "Oppenheimer" was honored with seven awards.
The movie was a big winner at the Oscars 2024, and the historical drama won the best picture at Sunday's Oscars gala in Hollywood, taking home seven awards, including best picture, best director and best actor.
The 53-year-old British director, Christopher Nolan who had never won an Oscar before won his first!
Cillian Murphy also earned his first Academy Award for his performance in "Oppenheimer" as the the physicist who led the development of the atomic bomb in World War II.
Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr.won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Rear Admiral Lewis Strauss in the same film.
The other Oscars the film win was best Film Editing, best Cinematography, and best score.
Besides Best Picture, Oppenheimer was also nominated for 12 other categories.
