New Zealand will remain the home of cricket for the next seven years
Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) has acquired television and digital rights to broadcast and stream New Zealand Blackcaps and White Ferns matches in India and adjoining territories for the next seven years.
The historic deal, which runs from 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2031, includes all other bilateral Tests, ODIs and ODIs to be played in New Zealand during this period, apart from India's tour of New Zealand in the summers of 2026-7 and 2030-32. T20 matches will be included. All matches will be telecast and streamed on Series: Sports channels of SPNI and live streamed on Sony Live. This will further strengthen the SPNI portfolio, which already includes contracts with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
Blackcaps have achieved great success in recent years. In this, winning the first title of the World Test Championship in 2021 highlights their achievements in the right sense. Apart from this, the men's team was also the runner-up in the last T20 World Cup and during this time he won millions of hearts with his passionate performance.
Cricket fans in the Indian subcontinent can look forward to seeing the Blackcaps in action against other cricket giants including India, Australia, England and Pakistan till the end of the 2031 season.
SPNI's digital rights in India will be co-exclusive with Amazon Prime for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.
