New York City is finally putting its foot down - kind of - in the wake of the migrant crisis the city is currently facing. The sanctuary cities mayor, Eric Adams, has decided to restrict the inflow of buses carrying migrants that don’t provide enough notice to the city.
Under the new executive order, if a bus is carrying migrants, they will be required to provide the city notice within 32 hours, otherwise they will face a class B misdemeanor, which means imprisonment, fines, and bus impounding.
NYC is finally learning what it truly means to be a sanctuary city. With his foot in the door, Eric Adams may impose more restrictions down the line, and more, and more, because this isn’t stopping. There are already reports of a new migrant caravan coming to the U.S. I wonder where they’ll end up.
