Napoli Itching To Make Antonio Conte their Manager at the Earliest!
Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is making significant efforts to lure Antonio Conte to the club sooner rather than waiting until the end of the season. Despite offering a three-and-a-half year contract with an €8M salary and full control over transfers, Conte has decided to wait until the summer before making his decision.
Current Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri, who was signed to ignite change hasn't met expectations, prompting De Laurentiis to shift focus to the future. Napoli were open to accommodating Conte's preferred directors, Gianluca Petrachi and Gabriele Oriali, and included clauses for an easy termination of the contract if needed however the Italian manager wasn't keen to commit in January.
Despite these generous terms, Conte remains unconvinced at the moment. The persistent pursuit reflects Napoli's eagerness for a managerial change, but as of now, Conte has not committed to the proposed deal. The club seems prepared for potential challenges, with clauses allowing either party to terminate the contract at the end of the season if expectations aren't met.
Having managed the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan among other clubs, Conte has a wealth of experience in Italian football. AC Milan were also linked with the manager hence it has to be seen if they can sway Conte's decision as well.
