Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a thrilling action comedy that aims to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Directed by Doug Liman, this film combines explosive action sequences and a sizzling chemistry between its lead stars, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. However, the film does suffer from a weak script, leading to a lack of witty dialogue and a weak screenplay.
The story revolves around John (Pitt) and Jane Smith (Jolie), a seemingly ordinary suburban couple whose marriage has lost its spark. However, things take an unexpected turn when they discover that they are both highly skilled assassins working for rival agencies. As they are assigned to eliminate each other, their worlds collide in spectacular fashion.
The plot starts off promising; however, as the film progresses, it becomes clear that the story lacks depth and coherence. The humour, supposed to provide comic relief, falls flat and feels forced.
The film's action sequences, on the other hand, seem to be top-notch, with breathtaking stunts and meticulously choreographed fight scenes. From intense car chases to explosive shootouts, the adrenaline never lets up.
However, apart from that, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, becomes a chore for the viewers, leaving them disappointed and with a flimsy storyline!
