The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day set by the World Foundation of Mental Health is ‘Mental health is a universal human right”.
This theme recognizes that everyone's mental health is a top priority and that protecting everyone's mental health is both of paramount importance and a fundamental human right. Everyone has the fundamental right to mental health. Every person has a right to the best possible level of mental health. This comprises the rights to protection from threats to one's mental health, everyday mental wellness promotion, access to high-quality care, and independence and community inclusion.
You may be aware of your own thoughts, but are you also aware of your legal rights? Each person has a unique, fascinating, and complex intellect. However, our rights are equal. Discrimination, stereotyping, and stigma prevent positive interpersonal connections and the inclusive environments necessary for the wellbeing of all members of society in the job, home, school, and community settings. The theme for this year will draw attention to a number of concerns, encouraging stakeholders and world citizens to collaborate so that we can support World Mental Health Day on October 10th, 2023, with a strong message.
Happy World mental health Day🤍🧠
