Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) proudly announces that the Fronx, its compact SUV coupe, has achieved a significant milestone by reaching one lakh unit sales in just 10 months since its market launch. The Fronx, introduced at the 2023 Auto Expo, has played a pivotal role in doubling Maruti Suzuki's market share in the SUV segment from 10.4% in 2022 to 19.7% in CY2023.
Priced between Rs. 7.47 lakh and Rs. 13.14 lakh (ex-showroom), the Fronx boasts a distinctive design, high ground clearance, and a commanding stance. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed, "Achieving 1 lakh sales in just 10 months demonstrates the exceptional connection FRONX has found with our customers."
Automatic variants contributed to 24% of total sales, and the 1.0L turbo Boosterjet engine, along with the recently introduced CNG option, garnered significant demand. The Fronx, exported to various international markets, has seen over 9,000 units shipped. The SUV's popularity is attributed to its captivating driving experience and a comprehensive feature list, including a heads-up display, 360-degree camera system, wireless smartphone charger, and a nine-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system.
