The first official poster for Joker: Folie à Deux movie has been unveiled by Warner Bros, and it seems that Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker has met his fierce match in Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn as the villainous duo dances wearing clown makeup.
Gaga and Joker 2 director Todd Phillips, who directed Phoenix, 49, as Arthur Fleck, aka the Joker, in 2019’s Joker, have been teasing images and first looks from the sequel for months. Phillips most recently shared new images of the leading duo to Instagram in February on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
According to reports from Variety, Gaga and Phoenix will lend their vocal to at least 15 songs, including classics like That’s Entertainment from Judy Garland’s iconic musical The Band Wagon.
Additionally, insiders hint that two original songs will be penned and performed by Gaga, which could become a strong contender for the Academy Awards in 2025. Interestingly, Hildur Guonadottir is returning as a composer, who promises to push the boundaries of the musical genre.
While the plot details of Joker: Folie a Deux it’s known that the film will mostly take place in the infamous Arkham Asylum.
