Kylian Mbappe WILL NOT Play In the Olympics If He Joins Real Madrid this Summer!
French national team captain, Kylian Mbapps may miss out on playing for his nation at the Paris Olympic Games 2024 if he joins Real Madrid. The club has informed the French Football Federation that none of its players, including will be permitted to participate in the Olympics.
Although Mbappe has expressed a desire to represent his country at the event, which holds special significance as it's in his hometown, his chances are now uncertain. If he had stayed with Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappe would surely have had the opportunity to compete in the Olympics. However, Real Madrid's decision has put an end to any hopes of him participating if he does choose to join the Spanish giants this summer.
This also means that other French players at Real Madrid, such as Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Ferland Mendy, will also miss out on the opportunity to play for France in Paris. Camavinga in general would have been a surefire pick by Thierry Henry, given that he fits the U23 quota required for the tournament.
The Summer Olympics 2024 will be hosted in Paris and will kick off on 26th July. The event will end on 11th August 2024, days before the start of the 2024/25 football season. The UEFA Euro 2024 will also be played this summer between 14th June and 14 July hence giving Mbappe and other players very little time to rest before the next season starts.
Will Real Madrid's decision change Mbappe's mind regarding his summer move? Let me know your thoughts...
