If you’re not watching K-dramas, you are seriously missing out on good content. Once upon a time I used to love watching American and British tv series but since I’ve started watching Korean tv shows, the western entertainment doesn't amuse me anymore. As soon as the weekend comes it's usually Netflix and Chill for normal people but for K-addicts like me it's Netflix and K-drama binge. You can find all the shows on Netflix so without further ado let’s dive into the shows you’re missing out on:
MY HOLO LOVE
This show is super easy-breezy and fit for people who are into sci-fi, mystery, romance and often feel lonely. My Holo Love combines all these components beautifully in twelve episodes. I loved this show- it just shows the raw reality and how the future could be and the greediness we have for materialistic living. I recommend you watch this korean drama and see for yourself what I am talking about.
Itaewon Class
I could say Park Seo Joon stars in this drama and every show and movie he acts in is worth watching because his acting skills are.. Chef’s kiss. But sadly there are a few more reasons why you should watch it. Itaewon Class paints a clear parallel between the world of the rich and powerful and the sufferings of people working for that class. It describes how cut-throat this society can be and also how businesses can go down any time. A must watch!
It’s okay to not be Okay
I would say this Korean Drama is not for everyone but at least try to watch it as it addresses what we like to call them as ‘dark themes.’ It’s okay to not be okay revolves around mental health, people with autism, people with bad experiences trying to live their lives and types of relationships. It is a very raw, real and restless drama but it speaks for people who have been silenced by this world. Give it a chance you won’t be disappointed.
