In Delhi you get some amazing Bimbibaap as well as Jhapchae in Majnu Ka Tila!
If you are a Kdrama fanatic it's impossible to not crave the food, characters are eating in the show. A week ago I was really craving Bibimbap after watching a MUKBANG, [ an asmr korean eating video] so my sister made the dish at home for me. It is a bit time-consuming but all the efforts are worth the wait. The dish is super delish! So here is what you have to do:
Ingredients Needed
- Vegetables [ You can take whatever vegetable you like, We used; onions, yellow bell pepper and spinach which was the only thing we had in our fridge but you can take carrots too]
- Meat [ We only eat chicken so we used the leftovers, but in the authentic dish they use beef and pork so use that if you eat it.]
- Eggs [ at least two]
- Rice [ The Most Important, Cook them first ]
Process :
Step 1 - wash your rice twice and then boil it until it's cooked.
Step 2 - Chop the vegetables and your choice of meat in thin medium-sized slices and fry them in any choice of oil and season them with salt and black pepper before placing them aside.
Step 3 - Crack an egg in a bowl and whisk it until it has a smooth consistency then fry it in a pan [ basically make an omelette ] When it's done, roll it and cut it into thin slices.
Plating : Take out a bowl and put the desired amount of rice in it then over it place your fried vegetables, meat and egg in a circular pattern and to spice it up you can add a spoonful of schezwan chutney on it but if you wanna go the authentic way then top it up with an egg yolk and you’re done! All you have to do is dig in. Bibim means the process of mixing and bap means rice so all you’ve to do now is mix and enjoy, it’ll taste better if you eat it while watching your fav show.
