Jules Kounde Open to Leaving Barça this Summer!

According to a report by Toni Juanmartí of Relevo, Barcelona defender Jules Kounde is reportedly open to leaving the club during the upcoming summer transfer window. Kounde has given permission to the club to consider offers from other clubs.

The French defender is said to be unhappy with his current role as a right-back and sees limited opportunities for a change next season due to the impressive form of Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen. Kounde has openly expressed his desire to play as a full-time center-back for Barcelona.

Last year, there was interest in the player from both Barcelona and Chelsea, indicating a high level of interest from top clubs around the world. Although Kounde has not explicitly requested a transfer, he would not be opposed to a move if the right offer comes along, benefiting both him and the club. Barcelona officials also feel that Kounde has raised his market value with consistent performances, even when played out of position.

Barcelona need to make significant sales this summer in order to finance their ambitions of re-signing Lionel Messi. The club also wants to give contract extensions to Ronald Araujo, Gavi, and Alejandro Balde. Kounde's departure at a high price would greatly assist in this regard.
