Iraq stun Japan in AFC Asian Cup
Japan were the overwhelming favourites coming into the AFC Asian Cup and they were expected to breeze through the groups atleast. But Iraq today delivered to them what has been the shock of the tournament so far.
A brace from Ayman Hussein saw the Iraqis beat Japan and snap an 11 game winning streak which included results against the likes of Turkey and Germany.
Japan are ranked 17th in the world, while Iraq are 63rd.
Japan predictably had more shots and more possession but their goal only came in injury time when it was too late. Iraq held them off to secure a famous victory.
