IPL 2024: What Happens If Qualifier 1 is Washed Out?

The rain Gods haven't been pleased with the IPL lately. We have had a number of washouts in the past week, with KKR and GT missing out on their playing their last 2 league games. With the country nearing the season of monsoons, all IPL fans must have wondered about what happens in case a Playoff game is washed out. Luckily, the BCCI has already arranged for this issue.

In case a Playoffs game has to be abandoned due to adverse weather conditions, the game will happen on the Reserve day that has been kept specifically for this purpose. Unlike previous IPL seasons, the BCCI has arranged for a Reserve day for every Playoffs game.

We also need to consider the possibility of a rain affected Reserve Day. In case a game cannot be completed on the Reserve day too, the team that finished higher on the Points Table will move forward, much to the dismay of the other equally deserving team.

The Points Table before the Playoffs stood as:
