2NE1's Potential Reunion Sparks Speculation as YG Entertainment Confirms Meeting with Yang Hyun Suk
YG Entertainment has commented on reports about a potential reunion of 2NE1 following an upcoming meeting with executive producer Yang Hyun Suk.
On June 25, OSEN reported that all four members of 2NE1 have confirmed plans to meet with Yang Hyun Suk in the coming days, fueling excitement about possible reunion and comeback projects. In response, YG Entertainment told Newsen, "It is true that the executive producer and the members are scheduled to meet. Other than that, we have no further details to confirm at this time."
Earlier, sources in the music industry noted that 2NE1 leader CL and Yang Hyun Suk recently had dinner together. On May 17, YG Entertainment commented to Newsen, "It was not an official company meeting, and we cannot confirm further details at this time."
May 17 also marked 2NE1's 15th debut anniversary, with members CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy celebrating by sharing group photos. This was the first group photo since their performance at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, heightening fan anticipation for a reunion. After disbanding in November 2016, the members left YG Entertainment and joined different management agencies.
