IPL 2024: Was Pat Cummins the Ideal Captaincy Choice for SRH?

Pat Cummins is the current captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was appointed the captain a few weeks ago, ahead of the IPL 2024 season, replacing Aiden Markram. However, many fans have raised the question of whether Markram deserved to be sacked.

Pat Cummins has tasted tremendous success as the red ball captain of Australia. He even won the ODI World Cup 2023 a few months back as captain. However, he has never captained the T20I side. He was briefly made the vice captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders but that's almost all the IPL captaincy experience he has.

On the other hand, Aiden Markram also had a terrible season as captain last year, winning just 4 matches out of 14. It'll be interesting to see how the decision plays out for SRH.
