International Women’s Day: Celebrating Womanhood!!
International Women's Day (8th March) as celebrated worldwide has changed or revolutionized from years on. From times when women were confined to 4 walls of the house and doing household chores with just a ‘Haanji’ sometimes, to the modern times where she is independent, workaholic and running nations, womanhood has come a great circle of changes.
In today's culture, many initiatives are opened to get her recognition in a society where she has always looked for equality and sustainability.
It is the remembrance of an unwavering and exceptional spirit of women who have broken many barriers and stereotypes.
But still, many challenges remain that need addressing which the woman of today’s world faces with utmost pain. A true Women's Day can then be celebrated not for a day but for each day of the year.
I would like to mention a few lines I heard from a writer -
Girl – Why is it always common for men and not women?
Writer - Women cannot be common as women are always 'Special'.
With the theme of International Women’s Day 2024 i.e.
'Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress'- let’s celebrate the spirit of womanhood.
