In IMS BHU, the elderly will get the facility of examination and treatment under one roof.  Geriatric Care and Rehabilitation Center (National Aging Centre) will be built in BHU.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay its foundation stone on 23 February.PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the country's third National Aging Center during his visit to Kashi.  After this, a six-storey building of 200 beds will be built on the vacant land near the Super Specialty Block.  Due to which the elderly will get treatment facilities under one roof.The center will be built on the empty space of the petrol pump and nursing hostel near the Super Specialty Block in the BHU campus.  Till now such centers are running in AIIMS Delhi and Madras Medical College.  The third center of the country will be built in BHU.  About eight thousand patients visit BHU Hospital and Trauma Center every day.  In this, more than 1500 people are above 60 years of age (men and women).  The six-storey center to be built under the National Program for Healthcare of the Elderly will have the facility to admit the elderly on 200 beds.
