"I thought Rafael Nadal played unbelievable," Holger Rune
Rafael Nadal returns to action once again, as he is all set to face Dominic Thiem in the first round of the Brisbane International. The Spaniard received a wildcard into the main draw, whereas, Dominic Thiem had to pass the qualifying stages.
Holger Rune believes that Rafael Nadal has been hitting the ball really well, as they practiced ahead of the Brisbane International. He stated that he had his toughest practice session over the years when he faced the Spanish veteran.
Holger Rune stated that Rafael Nadal was moving really fast on the court, and was hitting the ball really well.
“It's funny, after the practice today I talked to my team and I thought he (Nadal) played unbelievable. He was hitting strong, he always used to hit strong also. But then we started points and I thought he was moving really well, moving side to side extremely fast and I think the intensity he brings is incredible,” said Rune.
“I think I've been playing a very intense pre-season and a very intense end of the season last year and that was probably the hardest practice I've had the last half year, I would say,” Rune added.
