1 Don't over brush - Brushing hair too much may cause friction and damage the cuticle which can cause breakage and split ends. Brushing once in morning and once before bedtime is sufficient.
2 Oiling regularly - Trust me when I say you should oil your hair regularly. I didn't use to oil my hair at all till last year. And since I have started to, my hair has literally transformed.
3 Protective Hairstyles - Try to keep hair in loose braids and buns whenever possible. It protects hair from physical damage and prevents split ends.
4 Minimise heat - Avoid heat styling tools as much as possible. Always use a heat protectant before using heat styling tools.
5 Healthy diet - Taking care of your hair from inside is as important as taking care of it from the outside. Develop healthy eating habits and intake foods rich in protein, iron, zinc, Vitamin C, D, B12.
6 Exercise/Yoga - Indulge in any form of physical exercise. Yoga, Exercise, Gym can be anything. Exercise helps to promote blood circulation to the scalp and hair follicles which helps in promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss.
