As per the reliable Manchester United correspondent Rob Dawson from ESPN, Manchester United have rejected an offer from Sevilla for French international Anthony Martial.
Martial has been struggling to get game time after the emergence of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood as well as the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. As per Dawson, United will listen to offers from Sevilla only if the Spanish club is willing to cover all his wages and pay a substantial loan fee along with the deal.
Currently, the offer lacks both. Sevilla's first bid covers half his wages which is around Β£150,000. And United are willing to keep him beyond January if conditions aren't met by the Andalusian club.
Matt Judge and Monchi will have to schedule early meetings to discuss the terms which are suitable for both clubs. As it stands, things look difficult due to the present wages of the French forward, which is approximately above Β£200,000.
With the start of January transfer window approaching, signs seem to be positive in terms of the amount of interest that Sevilla have shown over the player. Monchi being a shrewd negotiator will give people at United's negotiation table less time to think before making a decision that's suitable to the Red Devils.
More work needs to be covered before expecting any form of breakthrough in this deal. But the intentions are clear for Anthony Martial. He wants a new challenge as he spoke to Ralf Rangnick this week to discuss his future.
