Question : Are COVID positive women finding irregularities in their periods as post Covid symptoms?

"Covid19 has affected women's reproductive health, including irregularities in periods, changes in premenstrual symptoms, missed periods and decrease in libido. Besides COVID19 disease; anxiety, stress, lack of exercise and weight gain may affect these functions. Long term effects of these disruptions are not known"

Missed periods during the course of infection, irregular cycles after recovery, spotting, heavy flows, abnormally longer period duration are some of the issues women have reported related to their menstrual cycle amid pandemic.
Delayed periods or irregular flow are often associated with stress and anxiety. That could be the reason.
A 2021 study from 177 menstruating people with COVID-19.
Changes in menstrual volume were found in 45 out of 177 people (25 percent). Out of these 45 individuals, 36 experienced a significantly lighter period while 9 had a significantly heavier period.
People with severe COVID-19 were more likely to have a menstrual cycle that was longer than 37 days. Researchers found that 34 percent of people with severe illness had long cycles, compared to 19 percent of people with mild illness.
