According to journalist Jorge Nicola, the Blues are keen on landing the Brazilian youngster, dubbed Messinho (Little Messi) and have reportedly placed an offer worth a total of €60m (£51m/$63m) for the 16-year-old. The deal works out to an fee of €40m (£34/$42m) plus €20m (£17m/$21m) in add-ons.

The 16-year-old winger's current release clause stands at €60m however, the report claims that Palmeiras may not accept the offer as they believe the player's value could go up. They are even considering offering him a new contract.

Messinho scored his first-ever goal for the Palmeiras senior side last week as he found the back of the net in his team's 3-1 win over Liverpool in a Copa Libertadores clash.
