Our body has seven energy centers and chakra yoga is about aligning and balancing them. Each day of the week is for one energy center.
Monday - Root Chakra
Tuesday - Sacral Chakra
Wednesday - Solar plexus Chakra
Thursday - Heart Chakra
Friday - Throat Chakra
Saturday - Third eye Chakra
Sunday - Crown Chakra
Each Chakra has it's specific yoga poses, breathing techniques, and visualization techniques. The aim is to harmonize the flow of energy throughout the body.
I began practicing chakra yoga in January of this year after hearing much about it. After three months, I'm thrilled with my decision as it has greatly improved my posture, mental well-being, and sense of connection to my body and roots.
