BTS's Suga Commences Basic Military Training, Set to Resume Alternative Service
BTS member Suga has commenced his basic military training by entering the recruit training center, as reported by Dispatch on March 28. The training will span three weeks, following which he will resume his alternative service.
Dispatch reported that BIGHIT MUSIC informed them, "According to the system of [starting] service in advance, Suga began his work first. He enlisted in the recruit training center today." This system dictates that individuals begin their service before undergoing basic military training at the designated time set by the Military Manpower Administration.
Having started his alternative military service in September of the previous year, Suga has been serving as a public service worker for six months. Upon completing his training, he will continue his service.
At present, all seven members of BTS are fulfilling their military duties, with expectations for their discharge by 2025. Jin is anticipated to be the first member to be discharged in June of this year, followed by Suga in June 2025.
