All’s fair in love and poetry... and the wait is finally over as the Tortured Poets Department is here!!
Just when Swifties thought they couldn't handle any more emotional turmoil from the crooner’s 11th studio album, Taylor said, "Hola!" We're just getting started. In a surprise announcement, Swift revealed "The Anthology," a 15-song companion piece to her recently released album. The expansion, released two hours after the initial album, features 15 more songs.
It’s barely 18 months since her last album, Midnights, and in a blink of an eye in the release schedule of a pop superstar.
Taylor Swift has unveiled her 11th studio masterpiece, after a surprise announcement at the 2024 Grammys.
This album marks a bold new chapter, draped in a moody black-and-white aesthetic that whispers of poets, inkwells, and late-night musings.
Sharing the dark aesthetic, Taylor wrote, "The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time - one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure. This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it.
And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry. THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT is out now."
