Jadeja should first move in with his father and sister and actually pay them back for everything they did for him 😤🤬
Alastair Cook opines on why Ravi Jadeja should move down the batting order
Alastair Cook has been impressed with the upcoming talents in Indian cricket, and among one of the names is Dhruv Jurel. The Indian wicket keeper displayed immense maturity in helping India post a commendable total in the first innings, and helped chase a tricky score in the second innings.
The former England batter believes that Jurel should bat higher than Jadeja in the batting order. He believes that Ravindra Jadeja is unable to deal with pressure, as was shown in the last Test match. Moreover, he claimed that Jurel can bat aggressively and put the pressure back on the bowlers.
“Jadeja, in particular, showed probably why he should be batting a little lower; Jadeja was just dead-batting everything, there’s no chance of getting any runs whatsoever," Cook told TNT Sports.
“Jurel found that balance perfectly with his foot movement and sharpness of the mind. Even while Jurel is defending, he’s so sharp when he’s ticking the ball on the leg-side, if it’s perfect, he may get a run. I’m not calling Jadeja a bad player at all, he [Jurel] might have slightly better ball manoeuvering than Jadeja,” the former England skipper further added.
