No matter how many times I see this movie it always feels rejuvenating.
As the three best friends initiate an adventurous road trip across Spain, they try their hands on everything from deep-sea diving, sky-diving to running with the bulls. And en route they liberate themselves from all the bindings of world.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a film that I connect with on a personal level. Its easy to identify myself with one of the characters because they are so real. Their feelings, emotions, banter, those nostalgic memories of the moments they spent together in the past are so easy to connect and identify with. Kudos to Zoya Akhtar for avoiding melodrama and cinematic cliches. The performances and the chemistry that the three share is fantastic. Farhan Akhtar gets the best lines and he’s outstanding. Abhay Deol is a natural like always. Hrithik Roshan’s character has limited scope for histrionics here, still he does very well.
This movie has something about it, the moment I switch it on it’s like I’m travelling to Spain with the characters.
There are a very few movies which makes me feel this way and ZNMD tops the list.
As being a media studies student myself I really liked the way the whole movie was shot and captured. Each dialogue, every movement and emotions were so well thought of.
I can actually say that this movie is my comfort zone and I always turn to it whenever I’m having bad days.
Its a light hearted slice-of-life film that is meant to be watched and enjoyed with friends and family.
After every watch I end by deciding my road trip with my best friends and that’s why I love how this movie makes me feel even after watching it for 46 times now to be precise :)))
