An old painter lived in a small village, creating beautiful paintings and selling them at a good price. One day, a poor villager approached him, suggesting he help the less fortunate, like the village butcher who shared meat with the poor. The painter, smiling calmly, didn't respond.

Later, the poor villager spread rumors that the painter was wealthy but stingy, leading the villagers to turn against him. The painter fell ill, and no one from the village showed concern. He died alone.

Days passed, and the villagers noticed the butcher no longer sent free meat to the poor. When asked about the reason, he explained that the old painter used to provide him with money every month to send meat to the needy, and it stopped with the painter's death. Some may misjudge you, while others may see you as purer than springwater. What these people think won't benefit or harm you. What matters is your true self and what God knows about you. Do not judge anyone solely based on appearances, as there might be other matters in their life that, if known, would change your judgment of them.
