What is PSG's formula to replace Kylian Mbappe?
Kylian Mbappe informed PSG yesterday that he will leave the club on a free at the end of the season.
So how do PSG replace arguably the best player in the world?
They laid the groundwork a little bit last season - signing younger high potential forwards in Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos.
However they have been linked to signing a star forward. Rumours suggest that Rafael Leao has been approached. Like for like, that is probably the best replacement possible. However, PSG already have others who can play the same roles he does.
The other star on their shortlist is Victor Osimhen. This logically would be even better. The Nigerian would provide much better balance to their attack.
Additionally they have people in mind for a midfield role too reportedly. Mbappe's departure would leave a massive chunk of salary space. PSG have had long standing interest in midfielders like Bernardo Silva and Bruno Guimaraes.
This would also enable them to poach the best talents in Ligue 1 - like Leny Yoro or Rayan Cherki.
Replacing the best player in the world is not going to be easy especially when he's leaving on a free.
