West Ham's underrated transfers are driving them up
West Ham have been having a borderline underrated season. They were 14th last season, sold their best player, albeit for a huge fee, recruited very well and are currently 6th.
After selling Rice, they made use of their funds perfectly. They brought in Edson Alvarez from Ajax and James Ward-Prowse from a relegated Southampton side. The two have been brilliant in their own ways. Konstantin Mavropanos has been solid at the heart of defence while Mo Kudus, also from Ajax has been a star. Now they have further shored up the midfield by adding Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City.
