Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma Announce Retirement After Winning T20 World Cup!
The Indian cricket team won their second T20 World Cup tonight however there will be a mixture of emotions for the fans. Cricket icons Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have both announced that they will be retiring from the T20I format for their nation. Both the players though should continue playing for India in test and ODI cricket.
Rohit Sharma started his T20I career for India in 2007 and played 9 T20 World Cups, winning the event twice and becoming the first Indian to do so. Virat Kohli on the other hand made his T20I debut in 2010 and went on to play 6 T20 World Cups, eventually winning his first last night against South Africa.
With the next ICC T20 World Cup to be played in India in 2026, It has to be seen how the team forms in the next two years and if the young blood can help the side defend their T20 title.
