--> Among the teams eliminated were Italian heavyweights, Inter Milan and Napoli. With their respective eliminations, all the Italian teams have been knocked out of this season's competition

--> Spain has the most number of representatives at the Quarterfinal stage with 3 teams - Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid

--> Incidentally, All eight quarterfinal representatives have at least played one UEFA Champions League Final since the turn of the century
